Kayak Club Thury-Harcourt
The Thury-Harcourt Kayak Club (KCTH) offers canoeing and kayaking activities for children and adults (aged 8 and over). Sessions take place mainly on the River Orne and at the Traspy lake in Thury-Harcourt, in the heart of Suisse Normande.
The paddling school, aimed at younger children, offers introductory and advanced kayaking sessions on Wednesday afternoons.
As they progress, kayakers can discover kayak polo, the club’s flagship sport, and then move on to competing in various categories: U15, U18 and seniors.
The KCTH also organises sporting events every year. In 2027, Thury-Harcourt will host the European Kayak Polo Championships.
The leisure section enables adults to enjoy kayaking and kayak polo in a friendly atmosphere. Activities on offer include: kayaking sessions at the club, white-water trips, kayak polo and river trips.
Whether you’d like to try canoeing and kayaking for the first time, improve your skills or play kayak polo, join the Kayak Club Thury-Harcourt and enjoy a stunning natural setting for paddle sports. The leisure centre also offers canoe and kayak hire during the season.
