Open since July 30th 1823, it became in 1835 the first French racecourse. First specializes in flat races, it hosts the first hurdle races in 1843. The racecourse is currently ranked first in obstacle race.
Set within the perimeter of the famous Haras du Pin National, "Versailles du cheval", takes place every year, the autumn meeting of the Pine Races which hosts the largest stables of flat and obstacle especially appreciate the quality of infrastructure and the beauty of the site.
