Hippodrome de Bacqueville-en-Caux

The town of Bacqueville en Caux and the presence of horses go back a long way! The Bacqueville Horse Racing Society, founded in 1891 by the merchant Jules Morel, who was mayor of the town at the time, is one of the oldest ones in France.

The racecourse of Bacqueville-en-Caux comprises two outdoor arenas, an 800-metre sand trotting track, an 850-metre grass track and a training area covering 8,000 sq m of grass, all accessible all year round with a yearly membership.

The Horse Racing Society holds large scale events every year, including the traditional trotting races held every 2nd Sunday in August as well as numerous fixtures and combined driving events since 2021.

The racecourse is also destined to training thanks to its training arena. Managed by the Association Bacquevillaise des Amis du Cheval (ABAC); it provides riders with a sand and geotextile track featuring obstacles open all year round.
