Since the 19th century, Trouville-sur-Mer has been a source of inspiration for artists, and their influence can be seen everywhere. This guided tour invites you to explore the town as if it were a vast open-air gallery.
First stop: the painters. From Charles Mozin to the Impressionists, they captured seascapes on canvas, followed by the changing light of the sky and the movement of the clouds, bringing this small fishing port to prominence far beyond Normandy. Next comes the art of the poster, with Raymond Savignac, who designed posters for the resort in the 1970s, now reproduced on some of the town’s walls. Finally, it’s time for street art: over the past decade or so, the streets have become a playground for numerous artists, from stencils and spray paint to Tom Brikx’s LEGO® creations.
Discover Trouville-sur-Mer in a different light: as seen through the eyes of artists!
