[For schools] Performance: ‘Nanoulak, the dancing bear’
Nanoulak is a mixed-breed polar bear, the offspring of a grizzly and a polar bear. His Inuit name embodies the meeting of two worlds that seem to be polar opposites. He has his father’s claws for climbing trees and skills unknown to his mother, who is raising him on the pack ice. At the crossroads of these two legacies, he invents new ways of inhabiting a changing world. In a gentle, enveloping world, between wood and ice, sounds resonate and materials are transformed through the dance of two hybrid beings, giving rise to a poetic, sensory and hybrid world.
A dance duet that celebrates creativity, sparks our imagination and invites us to build, play and inhabit our environment in new ways.
