A seaside school trip along the Calvados coast to learn in a different way, recognise each individual’s strengths and strengthen group cohesion.
Day 1
Departure from your school by coach. First day in Courseulles-sur-Mer. You’ll begin by exploring the marine environment with a tour of the coastline, its weather, tides, and flora and fauna. Armed with all this knowledge, you can then set off on a beachcombing expedition: what surprises does the shore have in store for you?
Day 2
A day at the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg, where you’ll explore its various exhibits: the ‘Adventure of Man Under the Sea’, the submarine Le Redoutable, the Titanic exhibition, and, above all, its 17 aquariums! After lunch, an educational workshop will give you the chance to put your knowledge into practice or learn more: all you have to do is choose the topic!
Day 3
A day at Mont Saint-Michel to explore its heritage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the morning, you’ll cross its famous bay with a specialist guide who’ll tell you all about the geology, the tides, the legends and more… After lunch, visit the abbey with its medieval architecture and take part in a treasure hunt to discover the village of Mont Saint-Michel and its secrets.
Day 4
To round off the trip, it’s time for some seaside activities. An introduction to sand yachting: this will be a unique and unforgettable experience for most of your pupils! It helps develop coordination, teamwork and self-confidence. Then, make and fly kites: a lovely way to round off this seaside school trip! Return journey to your region.
