Ciné Bistrot Claude Lelouch

Since it opened, the Ciné-Bistrot in Trouville has established itself as a unique venue combining cinema and conviviality.
From 29 May until the end of September, the Ciné-Bistrot will close its doors temporarily to accompany the preparation and filming of Claude Lelouch's 52nd film, currently entitled Un temps pour tout, which will be shot mainly in Normandy.
The Ciné-Bistrot will resume operations once filming has finished. This step will help reinforce the unique identity of the venue and the experience offered to the public.
The Films 13 and Ciné-Bistrot teams warmly thank visitors, regulars and partners for their loyalty and look forward to seeing them again in the autumn.
► Cinema, cuisine and the seaside in Trouville-sur-Mer
Just a few metres from the sea wall, immortalised in the 1966 film Un homme & une femme, the Ciné Bistrot is taking its place in an emblematic building in the harbour. This acquisition restores the architectural character of the place, celebrates the town of Trouville-sur-Mer and highlights the magic of cinema.
► An exceptional venue
With a lifelong attachment to Normandy, Claude Lelouch fell in love with Deauville and Trouville as soon as his cult film was shot.
With the Ciné Bistrot, he made a dream come true: to offer visitors and locals a space where cinema could be experienced differently, in a spirit of intimacy, warmth and discovery.
► An encounter and a passion
The Ciné Bistrot was born of a meeting and a shared passion: that of cinema and sharing.
Alongside Claude Lelouch, Alexis Chermant, a food enthusiast, imagined a friendly, gourmet venue where art, pleasure and authenticity come together.
Together, they wanted to create a place where people come to enjoy a good film as much as to share a meal, a snack or a drink in a warm, intimate atmosphere overlooking the sea.
► A unique concept: cinema, cuisine and the seaside
Ciné Bistrot brings together two universal pleasures: cinema and food.
It’s neither a classic dark room, nor a simple restaurant: it’s a hybrid place, at the crossroads of projection and tasting.
Here, the light of the projectors meets that of the sea.
Before the screening, you can enjoy lunch or an evening buffet, discover a simple and generous cuisine, then settle down comfortably to (re)discover a great film or a cinematic nugget.
► A unique and immersive experience
The Ciné Bistrot has been designed as a comfortable, human-sized lounge.
The soft velvet armchairs, subdued lighting and meticulous acoustics immerse the viewer in an intimate, immersive experience.
Here, cinema rediscovers its primary dimension: that of a collective and sensitive pleasure.
► An invitation to share
More than a cinema, the Ciné Bistrot Claude Lelouch is a place to live.
A space for shared emotions, encounters and suspended moments, where time seems to slow down.
It’s an invitation to experience cinema in a different way, to take the time to savour, share and dream.
