Boat licence
Three types of boating licence:
Coastal licence preparation: This allows you to sail, day and night, up to 6 miles from a shelter (approximately 11km).
Length of course: 3 days over 1 weekend (Saturday, Sunday, Monday with exam on Monday afternoon).
Conditions: The minimum age required is 16, subject to medical fitness.
Offshore licence: one session in October.
River licence: in April and October.
