à COURSEULLES-SUR-MER

A port, an island, oysters: the story of Courseulles

Between April and September, our guide Christelle offers you a guided tour of the port and oyster-farming history of Courseulles-sur-mer.

During this walk, in her company, you’ll take one step at a time along the west quays and the Labrèques brothers’ quays, until you reach the Ile de Plaisance at the Oyster Park, where the tour ends.

This journey through time will take you back to the 17th century, a prosperous period for the town’s economic development. With its mix of nature, fishing and traditions, this two-hour guided tour will show you Courseulles as you’ve never seen it before, with a vision of a Courseulles of the past that will no longer hold any secrets for you.

By the end of the tour, you’re sure to have a new perspective on the different scenes painted by the guide.

If you would like an oyster tasting at the end of the tour, please let the guide know as soon as you arrive (on request and optional for €10.00 per person).

If you’re a lover of local produce, don’t hesitate to book this special moment with the guide at the start of the tour.
