"Whatever a man can do, Violette can do too!": HArtCorps performance by STAPS students
The Thursday 26 November at 18 a.m30
Mémorial de Falaise 12 Place Guillaume le Conquérant 14700 FALAISE
This non-digital educational innovation project, HArtCorps, invites you to discover the presentation of the historical and artistic work by Staps students on Violette Morris, a great sportswoman of the 1920s with a controversial history.
The choreography draws inspiration from the contrasting journey of Violette Morris, a figure who is both inspiring and unsettling. An exceptional woman whose life’s journey took her from sporting heroism to collaboration. Through the concepts of light and shadow, the traces of an extraordinary life emerge – a life marked by radical choices and a conflicted identity. Here, the body becomes a means of expressing this duality: between self-assertion and rupture, between visibility and rejection.
A project by the UFR STAPS in collaboration with and supported by HisTeMé, the CEMU, the SUAC, the Centre Chorégraphique National de Caen, Le Sablier, the CVEC, and the NCU Réussites plurielles project.
