*The Disappearance of Josef Mengele* for the Nuits de la Lecture in Aunay-sur-Odon
The Friday 22 January at 20 a.m30
Salle des fêtes 14260 LES MONTS D'AUNAY
One of the greatest manhunts of the late 20th century! 1949: Josef Mengele arrives in Buenos Aires. Hiding under a false identity, the former Auschwitz doctor and torturer believes he can build a new life for himself. Perón’s Argentina was welcoming, and the whole world wanted to forget the Nazi crimes. During his 40 years on the run, the man known as the ‘Angel of Death’ enjoyed the backing and support of his family, friends and governments… An extraordinary journey into the heart of darkness, driven by a powerful script and a leading actor.
