This Breton crime thriller centres on Martial Kermeur, an ordinary man who showed no signs of ever becoming a murderer. After pushing a crooked property developer into the cold waters of the harbour, he is arrested. Standing before the judge, he recounts the sequence of events. And little by little, a life unfolds. For behind this irreversible act lies an existence marked by misfortune, a persistent run of bad luck that seems to dog him relentlessly. A single father, unemployed and a disillusioned idealist, Martial Kermeur once believed he could turn his life around. But an encounter with an unscrupulous con artist hastened his downfall: his savings gone, his dreams shattered, his future stolen from him. Until he reached breaking point.
