Puppets and Dolls: the creative workshop
The Wednesday 02 December at 14 a.m30
Mémorial de Falaise 14700 FALAISE
On Wednesdays 2 and 16 December at the Falaise Memorial, come along to our creative workshop and make your very own traditional puppet or doll!
During the Occupation, puppet theatres – the best known of which remains the Théâtre de Guignol in the Jardins du Luxembourg – were extremely popular. Many towns at the time had designated spaces, often in the squares of public gardens, to host puppet shows that delighted children.
This December at the Falaise Memorial, make your own traditional puppet or doll.
Discover the story of Guignol, that iconic figure of puppet theatre, as well as that of Rintintin and Nénette, the faithful companions of children from days gone by.
Using wool, felt and a good dose of imagination, bring your characters to life, re-enact famous scenes or make up your own!
