Musée des impressionnismes Giverny, 99 rue Claude Monet 27620 GIVERNY
Daniel Buren, an internationally renowned French artist, uses his vertical white and colored stripes (8.7 cm) as a visual tool to transform spaces in site-specific installations. In his works, much like Claude Monet in his day, he explores color, light, space, and perspective to question perception. In this way, he seeks to raise awareness of the interaction between the artwork, the space, and the viewer, inviting the public to see things differently.
For this carte blanche at the Musée des Impressionnismes in Giverny, Daniel Buren presents a new creation in dialogue with the garden and the museum’s collections.
