Photography exhibition: “Ephemeral Atmospheres”
The Wednesday 21 October at 08 a.m30
16 Bis Quai Amiral Hamelin 14000 CAEN
The MoHo is delighted to host an exhibition by Florent Renaut, a photographer from Caen who captures fleeting, natural moments across a variety of landscapes. It is an attempt to convey the emotion of his observations, like so many sincere impressions, as far removed as possible from any human presence.
Atmosphères Éphémères is a project born of a firm conviction: nature is not merely observed, it is experienced. Florent Renaut captures authentic scenes, seeking out the specific conditions that transform a landscape, lending it a poetic dimension and an atmosphere that is at times fantastical.
His approach is influenced by a pictorial aesthetic, straddling pictorialism and realism. Each shot is carefully scouted and prepared, balancing instinct with research, to follow nature’s fluctuations. The camera, serving reality, captures landscapes that might be mistaken for figments of the imagination.
His aim is to preserve the traces of the few territories that remain wild, despite the omnipresence of human impact. He is inspired by natural metamorphoses: a storm, a mist, a ray of light… those phenomena that swiftly transform a familiar landscape into another world.
