Performance: ‘The Sexuality of Orchids’ in Villers-Bocage
The Friday 16 April at 20 a.m30
Rue Richard Lenoir Centre Richard Lenoir 14310 VILLERS-BOCAGE
With a mischievously irreverent sense of humour and boundless curiosity, Sofia Teillet takes us on an adventure as improbable as it is fascinating: the reproduction of orchids. With the help of diagrams and a wealth of anecdotes, she unravels the plant world’s most extravagant strategies of seduction. For behind their apparent elegance, orchids display a wealth of ingenuity to achieve their goal: to be fertilised, come what may. But what might simply be a lesson in natural history gradually becomes a jubilant playground for the mind.
