Mushroom picking outing in Valcongrain forest
The Saturday 14 November at 14 a.m30
Parking du Lavoir 14220 THURY-HARCOURT-LE-HOM
Mushroom picking outings in the forest are organised by the Société Centrale d'Horticulture de Caen et du Calvados.
These outings are supervised by mycologists Serge KLEIN, assisted by beginner mycologists Annick BOTTET and André PROVOT. The outing gives members of the public the chance to learn how to identify a few mushrooms and recognise the edible or poisonous species most frequently seen in the region.
Bring a basket with paper bags to avoid mixing toxic mushrooms with edible ones, a knife and boots.
Registration required.
