Midnight – Cie Rotondes

Music, Visual and Digital Arts – Ages 7 and over
Within each of us rages a battle between contrasts, where shadow stands opposed to light.

In this story loosely based on Italo Calvino’s *The Cloven Viscount*, two multi-instrumentalists and an illustrator skilled in a variety of techniques break down genre barriers, blending concert performance with drawing to explore this duality that forms the richness of our inner selves. In real time before the audience, they conjure up a dreamlike world that unfolds, in black and white, to music influenced by jazz and electronic music.

With poetry and humour, *Minuit* takes us on an inner journey full of contrasts. A fantastical journey in search of beauty, even in our darkest corners.
