"Maaar" (World Music) – OMAC Cultural Season

MAAAR is an all-female trio comprising Elsa Corre, Charlotte Espieussas and Rebecca Roger Cruz, three artists with
diverse backgrounds and musical influences (Brittany, Quercy, Venezuela).
Their distinctive voices blend to create powerful, rhythmic and multicultural music, inspired by traditions from around the world.
Unconventional and percussive, they subvert the conventions of polyphonic singing by combining voices, body movement and instruments (accordion and a variety of percussion). Their repertoire, often passed down by women, celebrates nature, everyday life, dance and celebration.
The result is a rich and immersive soundscape, alternating between gentleness and intensity.
