*The Awakening of the Soil* (*Markens grøde*) is a Norwegian film directed by Gunnar Sommerfeldt, released in 1921.
Stefan Orins and Éric Navet provide commentary on *Markens Grøde*, a Norwegian silent film from 1921, long thought to be lost before it was rediscovered in the 2000s.
Stefan Orins’s music creates a sensitive dialogue between the images and the sounds, highlighting the story of a man who has come to build a new life in the heart of nature.
