Le Goût des Autres
The Thursday 21 January
76600 LE HAVRE
In the landscape of literary events, Le Goût des Autres stands out as a festival with an atypical format, demanding artistic programming, and a unique ambition to craft one-of-a-kind encounters. The festival brings writers from all over the world to Le Havre to share their books and their commitments with the public.
Its originality lies in the constant dialogue it creates between literature and the performing stage. Each year, literature takes center stage around a specific theme, bringing together some of today’s most talented writers and artists over an extended weekend in Le Havre.
Nationally recognized, Le Goût des Autres is key literary event for new works, marked on publishers’ calendars alongside the January literary season. Supported by national partners, local cultural actors, and the city’s independent bookstores, the festival continuously engages new audiences. It also takes place as part of the Nuits de la lecture (Nights of Reading), an initiative promoted by the French Ministry of Culture and the Centre National du Livre.
Its ambition is simple yet demanding: to read and share the world in all its diversity through the voice of writers, while fostering dialogue between cultures and identities through books and reading.
Join us from January 21 to 24, 2027, to experience a vibrant and varied program.
