Jardin aux histoires
The Thursday 12 November at 09 a.m45
50 Rue Albert Sorel 27210 BEUZEVILLE
Les Jardins aux histoires are childcare centers specially designed for early childhood: little readers, for the joy of reading with toddlers
Les Jardins aux histoires provide a special setting for children under age 3.
Accompanied by their child care providers, parents, or grandparents, the children attend a session that lasts about 45 minutes. “Les Jardins aux histoires” begins with a welcome session where adults and children gather around books for readings on request, followed by a group activity led by Eva, the librarian, who shares stories, nursery rhymes, and songs.
The session concludes with time set aside for borrowing books and for discussions among parents, the RPAM team, and librarians. “Discovering books and oral storytelling are essential to young children’s development, and indeed, after more than 10 years of running these story gardens, the librarians are convinced of this and see the beneficial effects on this very young audience.”
