Interactive show: My loneliness is killing me

Interactive show – Ages 12 and over
1998: Britney Spears walks into the corridors of an American high school, wearing a crop top and plaits. A much-adored icon, over the years she became the target of the paparazzi, an overbearing guardian and a system that exploited her whilst stripping her of her sense of self. Her life reads like an ancient tragedy. The Diplex theatre company brings this story to life through ‘pop doc theatre’: testimonies, interviews, court hearings, intimate scenes and choreography drawn from her albums. And because breaking the isolation is a collective effort, amateur dancers are invited to join the stage to transform Le Cube into a glittering, vibrant Las Vegas.
