Forum – 2026–2027 Season | Emma of Normandy, the First Crown by Cité Théâtre

At a time when nationalism is on the rise in Europe and borders are being redefined, *Emma of Normandy, the First Queen* takes us back to 11th-century England; a turbulent era marked by Viking raids, alliances and betrayals. The play highlights the political influence of Emma of Normandy, a figure who remains absent from history textbooks today.

The narrative draws on both history and fiction, blending humour and cruelty, and offers an original and captivating reinterpretation of this tumultuous period.
