Forum – 2026–2027 Season | ‘Arlette 1010 Years’ by the Compagnie de la Mine d’Or
The Friday 05 February at 18 a.m00
Château Guillaume-le-Conquérant Place Guillaume le Conquérant 14700 FALAISE
"Arlette, 1010 Years" is a purely fictional theatrical narrative – well, almost… for this monologue, which takes the form of a historical punk show, was written on the basis of research carried out – at the request of the author Dominique Birien – by the medievalist Véronique Gazeau on Arlette de Falaise, a woman from the early 11th century, whose first child was called William and whose two ‘husbands’ were Robert and Herluin. There she is, speaking to us, caught between Robert the Magnificent and William the Conqueror – that is Arlette, quite simply.
A production directed by Jérémie Fabre, structured as an auditory and visual enigma that alternates between documentary narrative and the gradual embodiment of Arlette.
