Festival Anthroposcènes 2027 : Y a plus qu'à…

The Friday 14 May at 20 a.m00

Rue de Saint-Georges Cour de l'école 27220 SAINT-ANDRE-DE-L'EURE

But how can one write about a subject as sensitive as the planet’s current environmental crisis without coming across as alarmist or heavy-handed? Julien asks this question—and asks himself the same… So he imagines a playwright and her troupe, distressed by the “catastrophic degradation of life,” wondering about their next play, which is supposed to address this very issue.

They all then set out to find actions and alternative solutions that are more uplifting than punitive.

Proposals are made… but they don’t turn out to be very satisfactory. Realizing their inability to solve the problems on their own, the cheerful team sets out to meet with specialists who might shed some light on the matter. The specialists share the results of their investigations. We share their hesitations and doubts, their difficulties in thinking and acting together. We also laugh a lot at their clumsiness because, in a way, it’s a bit like our own. The show can be performed %AB anywhere %BB, to be as close as possible to where it’s needed… A play that invites us to think about the root causes rather than the symptoms we feel, to broaden the discussion, and to consider %AB working together %BB. A play that suggests, provokes thought, and even encourages us to (re?)act.

That’s all there is to it!
