Festival Anthroposcènes 2027 : Je suis trop vert

The Wednesday 12 May at 10 a.m00

1 Square Georges Brassens Théatre Legendre 27000 EVREUX

Sixth grade. What a time! A milestone, an important moment in a student’s academic journey. A new school, several teachers, new subjects. David Lescot recalls… After his plays *I’m Too Scared* and *Back-to-School Anxiety*, and after *I Have Too Many Friends* and those first moments at the new school, his character—named “Me”—discovers the nature camp.

Class 6D is on a school trip, and “Me” finds himself on a farm. Staying with a farming family, he arrives with his prejudices and preconceived notions about the countryside and its inhabitants. It is Valérie, the farmers’ daughter, who serves as his guide and mentor in this world he is discovering. Meanwhile, his little sister—three years younger but nonetheless deeply committed to the fight against global warming—turns off all the radiators in the house because she fears the sea will heat up and boil all the fish…

The playwright creates a young protagonist, who could have been named Nicolas. The situations are funny, and the humor is ever-present. The dialogue rings true, perfectly delivered by the actresses. The stage set consists of a large, modular wooden box full of trapdoors, steps, and openings that allow for on-the-spot changes in locations and poses. These are tiny, serious moments that David Lescot has chosen to observe through his playwright’s magnifying glass, with his feigned candor and tender attention to childhood.
