Exposition L'Orient Express, une épopée moderne
The Sunday 25 October
Villa du Temps retrouvé 15 Avenue du Président Raymond Poincaré 14390 CABOURG
A transcontinental train linking Paris to Constantinople for the first time, the Orient-Express stood out as one of the great symbolic achievements of the 19th century. A technical, economic, diplomatic and artistic tour de force, it embodied a dream of modernity and luxury.
Through a selection of emblematic works and objects, the exhibition retraces the saga of the Orient-Express during the Belle Époque (1883-1914), when the history of this legendary train began to be written.
Exhibition curator: Roma Lambert, Director of the Villa du Temps retrouvé.
According to the opening hours of the Villa du Temps retrouvé. The museum is closed on Tuesdays and 1 May.
