Exposition : Lionel Sabatté : La mémoire du limon, hommage à Claude Monet
The Wednesday 21 October at 10 a.m00
Musée Blanche Hoschedé-Monet 27200 VERNON
To mark the centenary of Claude Monet's death, the Musée Blanche Hoschedé-Monet is presenting an exhibition by Lionel Sabatté, an artist who is also part of the museum's collections. A singular figure on the contemporary art scene, nominated for the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2025, Sabatté has developed a body of work that calls on all kinds of organic materials, charged with the traces of time.
The artist seized the opportunity presented by the draining of the water lily pond to recover the silt, leave it to dry and use it as a pigment to develop screen-printed images based on archival and current photographs. Immerse yourself in the memorable and forward-looking world of Monet?s water and flower gardens at Giverny.
Opening Saturday, May 16, 6pm
