Exposition itinérante Raoul, Gilbert et les autres : les compagnons de Guillaume – Millénium 2027

The Archives Center is presenting an exhibition on life during the time of William the Conqueror, with a focus on his companions who had ties to the Seine-Eure metropolitan area. Indeed, a study of sources related to the conquest of England reveals that several of William’s companions were from the Seine-Eure region: Gilbert de Venables, Raoul de Tosny, Roger de Pétres, and, more legendarily, the archers of Vaudreuil. The exhibition is designed to tour cultural and educational institutions throughout the region, in order to reach as many people as possible.
