Exposition : Carte blanche à Daniel Buren
The Tuesday 20 October at 10 a.m00
Musée des impressionnismes 27620 GIVERNY
In summer 2026, artist Daniel Buren (b. 1938) will be given carte blanche. The reputation of this contemporary French artist extends far beyond France?s borders. Revealed by his vertical bands of white and color, his site-specific work questions the place, setting and context of art. A major figure in conceptual art, he has left his mark on public spaces and museums around the world, playing with perception, architecture and light. For this carte blanche with the museum, Daniel Buren will propose an original creation in situ, in dialogue with the museum's collections.
Curators: Cyrille Sciama, General Director of the Musée des impressionnismes Giverny, Chief Curator of Heritage, and Sylvie Patry, General Curator of Heritage at the Musée d?Orsay
