Exhibition: “The Colour of Chance” by Benjamin Genissel

The Friday 06 November

Centre Culturel des fosses d'enfer 14570 SAINT-REMY-SUR-ORNE

For nearly 20 years, Benjamin Genissel — critic, photographer and videographer — has been travelling the real world, digital camera in hand, to capture, on the sly, short poems within the banality of everyday life. In the style of the great Cartier-Bresson and his ‘images à la sauvette’, he immortalises stolen moments that make us smile, laugh or feel moved, thereby celebrating the poetic spectacle of the most immediate reality.

This exhibition at Les Fosses d’Enfer is a true retrospective of his work! Presented as a large, colourful mosaic, with no set order or captions, it invites you to wander around and freely pick out the images that move you. The exhibition is also accompanied by an essay on street photography.

As always, we warmly invite you to join us for the opening on Friday 6 November at 6 pm: a simple, friendly and very relaxed occasion to chat with the artist and share your impressions. And if you can’t make it that evening, don’t worry – the exhibition will be on display until December!

Events taking place as part of this exhibition:
– Opening on Friday 6 November at 6 pm
– Screening of a previously unseen photographic film on Saturday 28 November at 5 pm
– Meet the artist: Jean-Christophe Béchet on Tuesday 8 December at 6 pm
