In a world of sharp angles, black and white, an illustrator sitting at her desk seems to have run out of ideas. She is… motionless. Emerging from the crumpled pages of her drafts, a cheerful troublemaker bursts onto the scene and into her thoughts. It’s Rebondi. Born from his creator’s mistakes and regrets, he possesses a contagious liveliness and a colorful inventiveness. Little by little, he’ll turn the world upside down.
The performers and the set will soon take on vivid, joyful colors once more. Immobile will no longer be still, swept up in the whirling vortex of her companion. The creature takes the creator’s hand, guides her, carries her away. Ideas return. Imagination reigns supreme.
From this creative duo emerges a jubilant performance, a blend of circus and dance, visual poetry and drawing. Two circus artists form a “drawing-dance” duo. Drawing blends with dance. The drawing dances. The drawing is… animated. We witness a gymnastics of ideas, a lovely, poetic, and dynamic fable. Proof that to err is human, but perseverance isn’t always a bad thing.
