Contact Sheets Festival #17 – Screening: “Génération”, carte blanche at the Les Nuits Photo festival

Planches Contact Festival has given carte blanche to Les Nuits Photo – LNP, a member festival of the LUX Network, for an evening dedicated to photographic film. Through around ten screened works, photography moves beyond the confines of the still image to become narrative, rhythm or experience, blending archive footage, sound design, text, editing and contemporary imagery.

From family histories and collective memories to transformed landscapes, quests for identity and poetic manifestos, these films explore the many ways in which images transcend time and connect us to one another. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the audience, inviting them to reflect further on the works and to exchange views on perspectives, styles and new forms of photographic creation.
