Contact Sheets Festival #17 – Competition: The Longines 25th Hour

When the night gains an extra hour, the Planches Contact Festival transforms this suspended moment into a photographic playground. To mark the switch to winter time, the 25th Longines Heure invites everyone to take up a creative challenge in the heart of Deauville.

Amateur and professional photographers, the curious and the passionate: the competition is open to everyone, whether you’re taking part on your own, with friends or with family. There’s just one rule: let your eyes do the talking to capture the unique atmosphere of Deauville after dark. Play of light, unexpected encounters, architecture, the seaside or fleeting moments: every image tells a unique story of this timeless hour.

The competition will start at midnight from the forecourt of the Franciscaines. Participants will then have sixty minutes to take their photograph before submitting their digital file to the festival organisers.

Printed throughout the night, the photographs will be displayed the following morning in the Cloître des Franciscaines, where they will be unveiled to the public before being judged by the Planches Contact Festival jury, chaired by Rima Abdul-Malak.

On Sunday at midday, all participants are invited to the announcement of the winners, during a convivial gathering around the pop-up exhibition of this 25th Heure Longines.
