Contact Festival #17 – Opening Night

Planches Contact Festival launches its 17th edition at Les Franciscaines with an opening night dedicated to the theme of ‘Generations’. An invitation to discover the eponymous exhibition and the programme, which explores the ties of lineage, transmission and perspectives that resonate across time.

During this evening event, Les Franciscaines will unveil the highlights of the Planches Contact Festival and the exhibitions that will take place in Deauville throughout the autumn.

The public will be able to discover the new ‘Générations’ exhibition in the Cour des Expositions in the presence of the artists: Ed Alcock, Alain and Léo Keler, Lise Sarfati, Newsha Tavakolian, and Tom Wood, whose works engage in dialogue with that of Hans-Peter Feldman – on loan for the occasion from the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris – the projects by the winners of the Young Photographic Creation Prize, as well as the work of Oleñka Carrasco and La Chica, winners of the Swiss Life Four-Handed Prize. A programme that brings together different perspectives, eras and photographic styles, setting the tone for this new edition of the festival.
