Concert by the band Courseval at Creully Castle
The Sunday 08 November at 15 a.m00
Château de Creully 30 place Edmond Paillaud 14480 CREULLY SUR SEULLES
The next concert organised by Musique en écrin will be a blend of the unusual and the tribute, featuring a trio of musicians – Jocelyn, Armand and Justin – inspired by their passion for the Middle Ages: the band Courseval, the first acoustic band to play ‘Bardcore’ – a musical genre in which modern hits are reinterpreted using medieval instruments.
The group reimagines popular songs by adapting them (the lyrics are adapted from English-language hits) using a more formal, evocative, courtly style, as they explain, whilst playing authentic medieval instruments such as flutes, lutes and harps. The medieval bard costumes add to the atmosphere of this unique concert, which you’ll have the chance to experience – and what’s more… in a castle.
Bookings by email or text message until 7 November at 7.00 pm.
