Fanta, a 14-year-old contortionist, lives in Conakry, Guinea. As she struggles daily to balance school, supporting her family, and her training with the troupe—where she is one of the few girls, Fanta begins to doubt her dearest dream: to take part in the upcoming major tour of the Amoukanama acrobatic circus. This hybrid film, blending documentary and fiction, immerses the viewer in the acrobatic and vibrant reality of Conakry—at times magical—and explores Fanta’s complex journey toward empowerment.
