Espace culturel Louise Colet rond point de la Victoire 27130 VERNEUIL D'AVRE ET D'ITON
Saturday, April 3, 2027, at 8:30 p.m., at the Salle Louise Colet in Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton, come listen to a tribute to David Bowie performed by the Opéra Orchestre de Normandie Rouen.
This year, David Bowie would have turned 80; rediscover his work through this symphonic reinterpretation, a true artistic revolution that celebrates the “White Duke’s” unparalleled place in 20th-century music history.
This original production sheds new light on Bowie’s songs through a symphony orchestra and aims to preserve the original melodies—blending pop-rock and jazz influences—while offering a fresh narrative.
Bowie as you’ve never heard him before.
The true beating heart of the house, the Orchestra has, since September 1, 2024, brought together the Normandy Regional Orchestra and the Rouen Normandy Opera Orchestra. This new ensemble brings together fifty-eight musicians who are deeply committed to the region and its audiences, with a boundless passion for all musical repertoires.
