Blood donation: save lives in an hour

Did you know that an hour of your time can save up to three lives? The French Blood Establishment is organising a blood drive in Trouville-sur-Mer, at the Maison des jeunes, and invites everyone to take part in this act of solidarity.

Blood cannot be manufactured: supplies rely entirely on the generosity of donors. A donation takes just a moment and helps treat patients across France every day – whether they are accident victims, people undergoing surgery or those receiving long-term treatment.

The medical team welcomes donors, both regulars and first-timers, in a supervised and safe environment, from the pre-donation questionnaire through to the light refreshments served after the blood is taken. Allow about an hour for your visit, and please bring a form of ID.

You must book an appointment in advance: this can be done online at dondesang.efs.sante.fr or by telephone on 0 800 109 900 (free service and call). A simple act, just a few minutes from home, from which you’ll leave with the satisfaction of having made a difference.
