Atelier linogravure

The Sunday 08 November at 14 a.m00

Maison des Métiers d'Art McArthurGlen Paris-Giverny 27120 DOUAINS

What is linocut? It's an engraving technique that uses a relief cut. We hollow out the lino to retain only the design we wish to print. In simple terms, it's like a large tampon!
This process makes it possible to produce mass-produced prints of your work. Mass-produced, but? unique!
Unlike many printing processes, linocut is a technique that leaves room for minor accidents, imperfections and variations from one print run to the next. These slight differences between prints in the same series make them all unique!

In this workshop, you’ll learn all the steps involved in making a linocut. You’ll draw, engrave, ink and print!
Bring your own A5-format drawing, and if you don’t have a specific idea, Mr. Smuggler will draw a design from his Book to suit your project.
After this convivial moment of creation, you’ll leave with your own engraved
linoleum plaque and the prints you’ve made.

The pleasure of discovering a traditional printing technique.
