Just 140 kilometers from Paris, the wonderfully pristine setting of the Perche invites you to get away. Escape to the great outdoors and meet the local inhabitants amidst a landscape of forests, hills and 'bocage' countryside. Manor houses, public and private gardens, Percheron horses, local produce, the Perche is best enjoyed at the same pace as the traffic on its quiet roads, slowly. The Maison du Parc is the picture of the Perche and the actions carried out by the regional natural Park in favour of sustainable development. The 'manoir de Courboyer', which dates from 15th century and classified as a historic monument, allows the discovery of the Perche' heritage or artworks from local artists. Warning : due to the restoration works of the roof, the manor house is closed until spring 2022. The 65 hectare estate around the manor house with its eight kilometers of footpaths allows the visitor to enjoy a typical hilly landscape of the Perche, some local breeds like Percheron horses, donkeys and Normande cattle, a vegetable garden or even the dark bee conservation apiary. A local produce shop completes pleasantly the visit. Inside the premises and during the animations : face covering is required, hand sanitizer is available to the visitors, NHS Covid Pass is required for the visitors of 12 and up (except in the local produce shop).
