A new quality label

Introduced in May 2024 to replace the Qualité Tourisme™ brand, the “Destination d’Excellence” label aims to raise standards across the tourism sector. It covers accommodation, restaurants, visitor and leisure attractions, tourist information centres and transport services.

Alongside the quality of the welcome and services provided, the label introduces more demanding environmental responsibility criteria.

Choosing a labelled establishment means choosing a tourism professional committed to continuously improving the quality of their welcome and services, keeping visitors well informed and ensuring their satisfaction, while implementing responsible environmental and social practices.

In Normandy, nearly 500 tourism professionals are involved in this initiative, led by the Normandy Chambers of Commerce and Industry, with support from the Normandy Region.
