In Vaudreuil, close to Louviers in Normandy, go and explore a wetland with a remarkable ecological diversity.
The Pasture site provides visitors with a natural place for walks in the heart of a 50-hectare wetland, including 10 hectares open to visitors. It provides an important ecological diversity for men and the territory: protection of our drinking water resources, flood prevention, biodiversity enhancement, which you will learn about along the boardwalks. The site has been largely remodelled. Three thousand local tree species - ash, willow, oak, birch, black poplar, etc. - have been planted. Two ponds have been created, including an educational pond to learn more about the species that inhabit the wetland. The rehabilitation of a branch of a river brought back fish migration, the transportation of sediments and allows canoes to sail trough. Observation points and information panels invite visitors to learn more about the treasures, fauna and flora of this educational trail.
