The grandstands at the Mortagne-au-Perche racecourse are protected as historic monuments.
Rebuilt in 1825 and restored in 1997, the three wooden grandstands at the Mortagne racecourse are the oldest preserved examples in France.
Every year, on the first Sunday in September, they are packed for the Orne departmental competition for conformation and gait of Percheron horses.
