Sculpture Reflection of the sun

Created by Franco-American artist Karl Lagasse to mark the 50th anniversary of the American Film Festival, "Reflection of the sun" is a unique bronze piece that pays tribute to the city and its iconic event. Inspired by the legendary fences of the beach huts lining Les Planches, it is his take on a more monumental scale of the trophy awarded to the winners between 2022 and 2024. In place since 8 September 2025 near the Pavillon des Bains, on the Promenade Michel d'Ornano, it forms part of the city's outdoor sculpture trail, alongside the sculpture XY by Philippe Valensi and the works Le Prophète and le Guetteur by Louis Derbré.
