In the heart of Les Andelys, a small Norman town built near one of the most beautiful meanders of the river Seine, admire Notre-Dame Collegiate Church whose architecture will take you back in time. Built at the beginning of the 13th century, extended in the 15th and 16th centuries and restored in the 18th century, it combines Early Gothic, Flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance styles. You will particularly enjoy the southern portal adorned with a remarkable ten-petal rose, the stained-glass windows dating back to the end of the Middle Ages, the splendid Entombment of Christ in one of the chapels, as well as the finally crafted case of the impressive pipe organ. And take time to have a look at the paintings made by the painters Stella, Guardi and Quentin Varin, who inspired Les Andely's prodigy: Nicolas Poussin…
