Mémoire d'Albâtre, Site du Pont Rouge
From the Pont Rouge on the seafront in Veulettes sur Mer/ Paluel, a one-kilometre-long educational trail winds up the cliff between bunkers that are visible from former trenches, which were partly recreated.
Four areas have been converted into interpretative centres, inside or around restored bunkers that you can visit:
– The exceptional ecological value of the site and natural heritage management (under construction)
– The History of the German station
– The Atlantic Wall and life under the occupation
– The Memory bunker
