La Lieutenance
La Lieutenance, the prestigious building at the entrance to Honfleur's Vieux Bassin, has been completely restored and is now open to the public. It houses a heritage interpretation centre on the maritime history of Honfleur and an artists' residence.
A true testament to the history of the Norman port, it has stood the test of time and is quite simply the oldest building in the town.
A visit to La Lieutenance highlights Honfleur’s maritime history through a variety of media: audio, video, models, digital installations, etc.
Its terraces offer an incredible 360° view over Honfleur’s harbours.
Closed on 1 January, 1 May, 1 and 11 November and 25 December.
