This garden was designed to respect the principles of permaculture. The plants are grown without any chemicals being added, even the chemicals allowed in organic agriculture. The ground is covered (with straw or hay) to reduce water consumption, avoid turning over the soil and allow the animals living underground to enrich the soil.
